Professor Nick Hopkins is Law Commissioner for Family Law at the Law Commission of England and Wales. Amongst other projects, he has previously led the Commission’s work on surrogacy law (jointly with the Scottish Law Commission) and Weddings law. He holds a Chair in Law at Reading University and

Beth Payne is a pupil at QEB. Prior to this, she worked at the Law Commission as a research assistant, on the project team for the financial remedies on divorce scoping project.

Christine Gentry is a lawyer in the Law Commission’s Property, Family and Trust team. She is working on the financial remedies on divorce project, having previously been involved in the weddings and surrogacy projects. Before joining the Law Commission, Christine practised as a family solicitor.
