Mr Justice Cobb
Sir Stephen Cobb has been a Justice of the High Court since 2013. He sits in the Family Division, the Family Court, the Court of Protection and the Administrative Court of the King’s Bench Division. He was called to the Bar in 1985 (Inner Temple) and took Silk in 2003; he was appointed a Bencher in 2004. He is consultant editor of the Family Law Reports, and has an Honorary Doctorate in Law from the University of Liverpool. He was Chairman of the FLBA in 2009–10. He led the Private Law Working Group for 8 years (2013–2021); he was a Family Presider for the North Eastern Circuit for more than 6 years (2015–2021), and for the last 2 years has led for the Judiciary across all jurisdictions on the HMCTS Reform Programme.
