She’s an accredited mediator, collaborative solicitor and pioneer of the solicitor neutral process and has expertise in working with others to help her clients avoid court.
Jo is the author of the much-lauded (Almost) Anything but Family Court (editors Only Mums & Dads).
She founded Sussex Family Solutions (SFS) which brought together lawyers, mediators, therapists, parenting experts and financial advisors to work together collaboratively. It was nominated for a Collaborative Working Award in 2021.
Jo interacts with students at Sussex University and Brighton University to promote non-court processes. She regularly gives seminars and workshops to fellow practitioners around the UK, at YRes and National Conferences for Resolution to teach and encourage the adoption of processes that will help their clients avoid court.
Jo is appointed to The Law Society Family Law Committee until term end in 2023. She sits on Resolution’s Equality Diversity and Inclusion Committee and was previously on its DR Committee. Jo’s a member of the Family Solutions Group legal committee. She also chairs East Sussex Resolution.
