Francis J was called to the Bar at Middle Temple in 1981, and became a QC in 2002. He specialised in family law, and became head of chambers at 29 Bedford Row in 2002. He was appointed as an Assistant Recorder in 1999, and as a Recorder in 2000. In 2011, he was appointed as a deputy High Court judge. He now sits as High Court judge following his appointment on 3 October 2016, and His Lordship is assigned to the Family Division.

Pension Advisory Group II update and consultation
Being in receipt of a significant amount of written and anecdotal feedback on the success or otherwise of the Guide to the Treatment of Pensions on Divorce, the chairs of the PAG have concluded that it would be helpful to review and update the 2019 guide.
